Les Arcs
Les Arcs, in the heart of the Tarantaise, consists of five distinct districts which are connected to each other through ski-runs and roads. It is a resort made for alpine and cross country skiing and the architecture has been adapted to fit into the surroundings.
Arc 1600: it is the simplest place from Bourg-St-Maurice to reach. Family resort.
Arc 1800: the resort with more bustle on a sunny terrace, with the three villages Le Charvet, Les Villards and Charmettoger.
Arc 1950: Purpose built by Intrawest, this village is the newest addition to Les Arcs.
Arc 2000: the sportiest resort with its 2 kilometre long ski-runs, in the heart of the skiing area. Compulsory car/park (extra). Private cars are only allowed to the apartments to load luggage.
Peisey-Vallandry: traditional Savoyard town linking the two ski areas of Les Arc and La Plagne. Ski down to the town from the Les Arc side. 1600m altitude.
