La Plagne

      Purpose built ski resort, ideal for beginners and intermediates, with ski in/ski out convenience and some runs for advanced skiers. The various districts of La Grande Plagne: Plagne, Plagne-Village, Aime 2000 and Plagne Bellecote, are distributed over a plateau between Chambery and Aosta, surrounded by glaciers. The different areas are all linked by bus.

     45 km of cross country skiing. Ice skating, swimming pool, hang gliding, tobogganing. Child minding service, cinema, discotheques, and hang gliding are available.

     La Plagne has been linked with the Les Arcs ski area since the 2003/4 Season, resulting in a massive ski area to rival The 3 Valleys and Espace Killy - giving 240 pistes over 425km of skiing. Thus, in theory, with a 6 day lift pass, it is possible to ski 40 different runs each day without doing the same one twice!

    Hotel Terra Nova has a superb location in Plagne Centre right on the piste so you can ski down to a chairlift in the morning and back to your door at night. The hotel offers a high standard of accommodation as well as an excellent choice of room types including a large number of interconnecting rooms.

    Evening meals, which include free wine, are served in the panoramic restaurant which has superb views over the valley. Families will appreciate the full selection of kids' clubs available for children from 6 months to 12yrs.
