8 day Independent tour
8 days to explore the stunning variety of Berner Oberland. The tour starts in the largest and most important town in the Haslital Valley, Meiringen. With dark forests and wild waterfalls: the Berner Oberland is an immage of pure Switzerland. The opalescent waters of Lake Brienze change their colour according to prevailing wind and weather, from deep blue into turquoise or emerald green.
In Interlaken, you have three days under the influence of the famous threesome Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Without doing other mountains injustice, Jungfrau, with her unique harmony of form and proportion is of unsurpassed beauty. The slopes of the 4000m high mountain are covered by 8 glaciers. On old passes you return through Roselaui Valley to the starting point.

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Individual arrival in Meiringen

7pm welcome and tour information, distribution of route documentation.
Overnight in Meiringen.

Day 2: Around Meiringen
|
|
The vast valley between Meiringen and Brienz emanates a unique fascination. The walk around Meiringen touches Aare-gorge, Grimsel and Hasliberg.

Day 3: Meiringen-Ballenberg - Brienz
|
|
Beautiful hill and valley walk past the unique open-air museum Ballenberg and lovely village Brienzwiler.

Day 4: Brienz - Giessbach falls-Iseltwald - Interlaken
|
|
Varied walk on the left bank of Lake Brienzersee to Interlaken.
Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 5: Bellinzona - Gola di Lago - Lugano
|
|
With the 3-day Jungfraupass you are able to visit Schnynige Platte. By the historic Schynigenplatten cable car up to Schynigen Platte, then with the stunning balcony path, surrounded by the famous mountains of Berner Oberland, to Faulhorn and Lake Bachalpsee.

Day 6: Free ride by Jungfrau train up to Jungfraujoch
|
|
Today you enjoy a rack railway ride up to Jungfraujoch, the "top of the world". Stunning views of the summits of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

| Day 7: Grindelwald - Meiringen |
|
Start around 9am at the bus station in Grindelwald. You leave your luggage in care and get on the way to Firstbahn. Once more you walk on the balcony path to Grosses Scheidegg. Almost vertical rock walls of the mighty Wetterhornwand seem to scrape the sky. Walk through Rosenlaui flora leave

Day 7: Departure day

After breakfast your tour comes to an end and you may begin your journey home. We would also be more than happy to extend your stay in Europe.
