Discover the attraction of the Veneto region including Venice and its lovely lagoon. The Veneto region will soon enchant you: green lowlands, a tangle of lagoons combined with pearly towns that show both an authentic and modern atmosphere. This relaxed cycle holiday is suitable for everyone because of its intimacy and friendliness.
The hotels are situated in the old city centres. Each day you may choose either a short or longer cycle trip, depending on your plans and fitness.

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY
|
Day 1: Individual arrival in Vincenza
|
|

Arrival in Vicenza, famous for the ‘Vila la Rotonda’ and the Basilica, designed by the famous architect Palladio in the 16th Century. At your hotel you will receive your rental bike and the information material for your tour.
|
Day 2: Vicenza - Bassano del Grappa (40 km)
|
|
Via the plains you cycle to Marostica, at the foot of the Alps. Then you cycle on to Bassano del Grappa, located at the Brenta river.
|
|
Day 3: Bassano del Grappa - Treviso (50 km)
|
|
Via two Palladio designed country-estates you cycle through the vineyards of the Prosecco wine estates. In the evening you may taste this wine at the square ‘Piazza Pescheria’ in the old centre of Treviso.

| Day 4: Treviso - Venice (Mestre) (40 km) |
|

Following the river Sile you end up in Malcontenta, famous because of Palladio’s Villa Foscari. You may stay in Mestre or in a hotel in central Venice (surcharge).

Day 5: Venice (Mestre) - Chioggia (35 km)
|
|
Over the 6 km long bridge called ‘Ponte della Libertà’ you reach Venice with its 411 bridges, 118 islands and 150 canals. By ferry and through the islands of Lido and Pellestrina you arrive in Chioggia.

Day 6: Chioggia - Padova (55 km)
|
|
Alongside historical canals and locks to Stra, located on the Brenta river. Your day ends in Padova, a walled town with a rich history and Giotto’s Capella degli Scrovegni with its beautiful frescoes.

Day 7: Padova - Vicenza (48 km)
|
|
The Bacchiglione River points the way out of the the city and you reach Costozza, a little town at the foot of the Berici hills. The bike path passes in front of Villa Rotonda, the most famous of the Palladian villas. Just before entering Vicenza you see the Villa Valmarana ai Nani with its marvellous frescoes by Tiepolo.

Day 8: Journey home or extension of stay
|
|
After breakfast your cycling tour comes to an end and you may begin your journey home. We would also be more than happy to extend your stay in Europe.

EASY: Terrain is generally very easy as this part of Italy is flat. The itinerary is completely in the lowlands except for the 1 km slope in Asolo. You will cover 283 km in 6 stages, riding on secondary streets with low traffic or paved bike paths.
Trains with bike transportation connect the main cities of the tour, so in case of bad weather, or if you need a day of rest, you can reach your destination by train.

The nearest airports are Verona and Venice. Regular bus and train service is available from both airports to Verona city centre, where your tour starts.
