8 day Independent tour
The River Inn bike path: this down river tour offers the cyclist a combination of sensual impressions, from magnificent alpine panorama's, to cute mountain villages of the Engadin like Zernez, Susch and Lavin.
The Inn bicycle path leads through many outstanding landscapes: the wide Hochtal (valley) of the Oberengadin merging into the big forests of the Swiss National Park. As the scenery changes, you cycle into the Austrian province of Tyrol, welcoming cyclists with warm hospitality. The bike tour ends in Innsbruck, with a stay in this Olympic city one of the highlights of this wonderful bicycle trail.

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Individual arrival in St. Moritz

Individual transfer to St. Moritz.
Day 2: St Moritz
Free day to explore the city, its surrounding mountains, or cycle upriver towards the source of the Inn.
Day 3: St Moritz - Zernez (35 km)

Departing chic St. Moritz you bike through Samedan (Old Tower), La Punt (early gothic church San-Andrea with its frescos) and Zuoz (window paintings in the church San Luzi) to Zernez. You bike through the high valley of the Oberengadin. Zernez is the gateway to the only Swiss National Park.
| Day 4: Zernez - Scuol (35 km) |
First you bike to Lavin, which preserves the character of an old mountain village. The name of the village Guarda (“Look!”) is based on the beautiful views from here. The aim of today’s stage is the town of Scuol, with the castle Tarasp, the majestic landmark of the Engadin.
Day 5: Scuol - Ried (55 km)

From Scuol to Martina, we then reach the Austrian border. We follow the route along the River Inn's Finstermünzer Schlucht (gorge), through the town centres of Stuben and Pfunds/Tirol, before reaching our desination, Ried.
Day 6: Ried (40 km)

Through the “Obere Gericht (Upper Court)” from Ried over Prutz down to Landeck (castle with museum, ruin Schrofenstein, Gerberbrücke – a showplace of the Tyrolean struggles for freedom). We pass the monastery Zams and through to Imst (town of the wells, plus lots of churches and chapels). Recommended is a visit to Rosengartenschlucht (rose garden gorge).
Day 7: Imst - Innsbruck (65 km)

There are many lovely, small villages on the Inn bike-path. Cultural highlight of today’s stage is the Zisterzienserstrift Stams (collegiate church with rose windows). Numerous small churches and ruins dot the hillsides of the Inn Valley. Along the Martinswand we come to Innsbruck with a very smart "old town" (Golden Dachl, town tower, Hofburg, Hofgarten, and Helbinghaus). The bikes are returned this evening.
Day 8: Innsbruck

Your tour ends after breakfast. Depart for home or extend your stay.
