This nine-day adventure takes you from the volcanic region of La Garrotxa to the striking area of the Costa Brava. Catalonia, to the north, south and west of Barcelona, is a land of much diversity. Inland from the Pyrenees, dotted with remote villages, this province still retains a transparent air of the Middle Ages.
Throughout Catalonia, the sense of diversity from the rest of Spain is intense, not only in the use of the Catalan language but also in the unusual festivals, history and cuisine. You start in Girona, with its impressive medieval centre, cathedrals and Jewish Quarter. It is certainly worth your time to explore this town of narrow streets.
On the next day we transfer out to Olot in the heart of the volcanic area. This is certainly one of the most impressive reasons to explore the Iberian Peninsula. You cycle on average 40 kilometres a day through San Feliu de Guixols and Calella de Parlafrugell and stop in little fishing villages on the way. Often on the first two days we ride on the rails to trails bike path system, which links many of the towns on this journey.
We visit the wetlands of lEmporda, a protected area with a great diversity of birds. Then cycle inland through the plains with a stop in Figueres. Here a visit to museum/theatre of Salvador Dali is a highlight. Riding past monasteries and castles, we stop at Sant Pere Pescador and Monells where we end our journey before being transferred back to Girona.

This unique bicycling tour shows you the beauty of rural China and the spectacular scenery that makes this region famous. Portions of the route are a little hilly, as we wind our way along little-used back roads.
Pedaling past flooded rice paddies and through rural villages where schoolchildren still rush out to meet the strangers on two wheels. After traveling by express train from Hong Kong, we collect our bikes and cycle through the ever-changing scenery. One of the highlights of the cycling tour is the stunning countryside, and you will experience it first-hand on your bike.
Using a bicycle in China allows the traveler to see the country at a handlebar level, much as the locals do. You have ample time to explore pagodas, villages, and other highlights.

Northern Thailand is a region of jungle filled valleys, mountain-top temples, meandering rivers and cultural encounters. This fantastic 10-day journey begins in Chiang Mai, climbing through the mountains to the Golden Triangle, where the Mekong River marks the borders of Thailand, Burma and Laos.
We ride through the spectacular limestone mountains of Chiang Dao and the scenic village of Mae Salak. On one incredible day we use a combination of bikes, boats and elephants to reach a remote Lahu village where we experience a unique night as guests of a local family, sleeping in their long-house.
Before arriving at the Golden Triangle we visit Doi Mae Salong, and ride up Doi Tung to visit one of the regions oldest temples and check out the Burmese markets in Mae Sai. We then spend the day riding along the Mekong River before being transferred back to Chiang Mai.
Approximately 30% of the route is off-road through mountainous regions; some experience is required, as there are a few tough rides.
