Although Turkey is best known for its' hot sunny Mediterranean resorts, there is much more to the climate than hot summers. Come and ski Turkeys favourite ski area. And you couldn't visit Turkey without spending a few nights in the magical city of Istanbul ... the gateway between Europe and Asia. We will also spend some time touring historically significant cities such as Troy, Canakkale and Gallipoli.
Much of Turkey is mountainous ranging in altitude from 2587 to 5137 m. With many of these peaks experiencing snow cover for as much as six months or more, the potential for skiing here is fantastic. Turkey can offer great opportunities for all levels at better value than most resorts, though après ski is sedate. Snow reaches approximately 3 meters deep, covering the forests and enhancing the natural beauty of these stunning mountainous areas. The preferred place to ski is ULUDAG (1750 - 2547 M HIGH). Uludag is 245 kms from Istanbul and 36 kms south of Bursa. You can go to Uludag either by bus or by telpher. Uludag is a National Park and offers Alpine skiing, touring, cross-country and heli-skiing. Weekly arrivals commence on Sundays.

Come share the dream and ski or ride under one of the most famous peaks in the world ... the Matterhorn. Considered one of the best resorts in the world, Zermatt is car free and offers captivatingly stunning scenery and some of the best après ski and food in the world. What a way to kick-start and extend your ski season!
Encompassing three ski areas and surrounded by 29 peaks over 4000m (13,100ft) in altitude, these are the highest mountains in Europe. And most are always within sight of the powerful jagged edged Matterhorn.
All three of Zermatt's ski areas tower to nearly 3100m (10,200ft), providing fantastic snow conditions, and runs to the village from 8 to 13km / 5 to 8 miles. Lifts begin operation at 8-8.20am and do not close until 4.30pm in midwinter. Not only are the runs long, but Zermatt has the longest winter season in the Alps. All three skiing areas are open from late November to the start of May - and the huge glacier area offers good skiing all through summer too.
After an extensive day skiing endless runs surrounded by stunning views, we'll participate in some of Zermatts' famous Apres Ski that
starts at noon (if you can pull yourself away from the snow). Three dozen mountain restaurants with spectacular views of the
Matterhorn are found above Zermatt. Most are also authentic, cosy, distinctly Swiss 'chalets' (not to be confused with the Canadian
restaurants). Zermatt has many of the best mountain restaurants in the Alps. We will share our adventours of the day over Glüwein
(Spiced warm wine) or delicious Apfelstrudel (local apple pie).
Some 30km of winter footpaths are cleared of snow; leading through the magnificent local terrain.
Sierra Nevada, Spain Snow ADVENTOUR
Join us at Sierra Nevada, Europe's most southern ski resort. Located 32 km from the centre of Granada, it hosted the 1996
World Alpine Ski Championships.
The highest summit of the Sierra Nevada range is Mulhacén at 3,481 metres. The highest ski
lift and runs go to just below Veleta, which is at 3,398 metres. There are 79 runs: 4 are black (very difficult),
34 are red (difficult), 33 are blue (easy), and 8 are green (very easy). The highest run is the Águila (eagle) red run, and on
a clear day you can see across to the Riff mountains in Morocco.
The region of Andalusia has mostly sunny days and usually we
ski under beautiful blue skies and in warm temperatures. Not only will we ski with a spectacular view of the Mediterranean ocean,
we will immerse ourselves in the Spanish culture, give our ski legs a new challenge with Flamenco dancing, stimulate our taste-buds with
tapas washed down by Sherry and local wines, and visit the exquisite Alhambra which is considered by some to be one of the 10
wonders of the world.
The Alhambra is a massive castle that was constructed over many centuries. It consists of gardens,
fortifications and sumptuous palaces. It was home to many of the Arabic Sultans who ruled the province. The Alhambra is
said to be an Arabic attempt to create heaven on earth.
